How do you get more fluids in your diet?

  • Start your day with a glass of water – preferable 20mins before eating
  • Drink water or herbal teas throughout the day
  • Drink fresh juices and smoothies
  • Eat soups and stews
  • Flavour water with fruit, cucumber, mint, goji berries
  • You need to drink more water when exercising or when you take a hot bath

And I’m sure you know that:

Sparkling water, alcohol, fizzy drinks, coffee and black tea all dehydrate you, but you keep on drinking them to get you through the day, to relax at night, or just because it’s a habit. Stop and think about the long-term consequences of that.  Do you want to be someone who gives into a negative habit, or someone who wants to make new better ones. It only takes a little more effort for a few days and then it becomes a lifestyle.
